This ranking is based on a wide range of factors, from taxation to how easy it is to migrate there to even quality of life and internet speeds. The goal of this ranking is to establish the best cities for entrepreneurs to live, not just for business but also for the lifestyle.
Auckland ranks 33rd on the list, comfortably making it within the top 50 cities for entrepreneurs. This is due to Auckland’s high quality of living, the population of millionaires, and its entrepreneurial spirit – it’s always good to see good old Kiwi Ingenuity recognised on the global stage.
Auckland contains 23,400 millionaires, making it the 37th largest city in the world in terms of millionaire population. Our queen city is also ranked as the 16th best city in terms of quality of life, and its an excellent city for entrepreneurs focused on film production and tourism. With a business density of 16.3 per 1000 people, and a 0% capital gains tax, it’s clear to see that there are great opportunities for entrepreneurs in Auckland.
