Secure Your Future with a Golden Opportunity

The BIV is New Zealand’s newest investor category, launching in November 2025. It replaces the Entrepreneur Work Visa and is designed to attract experienced investors who are ready to actively manage or run a business in New Zealand.

How BIV Compares to Other Visas

  • The Entrepreneur Work Visa is closed to new applicants, though existing holders may still progress to residence.
  • The Active Investor Plus (AIP) visa remains available for those able to invest larger sums (NZD $5m–$10m) in approved investments over three to five years. AIP does not require active business involvement, whereas BIV does.
